Niu Beer Spring Festival — Derrick Lin (2020)

Created for the Spring Festival, this design is inspired by the tradition of friends and family uniting over a drink, reflecting on the ups and downs of the past year, and looking towards a bright future and what’s to come. Throughout the gatherings, a common thread rings true: resounding wishes of wellbeing, prosperity, and happiness.

Lin chose to select 4 objects that reflect common New Year blessings — for example, the copper coin symbolizes the phrase 恭喜發財, which wishes prosperity to all in the new year. Combined with traditional elements, the lively colors and modern style bring a sense of rejuvenation to the fresh year.
