Promoting an afternoon of art hosted at an historic bathhouse-turned-arts center, this poster captivates with its cheerful, almost fairytale-like colors. A clean multiline typeface is applied to the word 한글 (Hangul), the South Korean word for the Korean alphabet—the alphabet is known as 조선글, or Chosŏn’gŭl, in North Korea. The linear nature of the type beautifully emphasizes the strokes used to compose each letter.
Bitmap-style typography is taken to the next level with this delightful splay of text. This poster drives a sense of modernism to a nostalgic pixel age, and is thoughtfully layered across this stunning portrait of musician Soona Park.
