Coming Ceremony
Made by Shanghai-based clothing brand Muzkin, this event poster layers intricate graphics to emulate the richness of Hami embroidery, which the brand incorporates into many of their pieces.
With a rich history dating back hundreds of years, this embroidery style was pioneered by the people of Hami (哈密; also known as Kumul, or قۇمۇل in Uyghur), a city located in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. Hami embroidery is widely seen as one of Xinjiang’s most important pieces of intangible cultural heritage.
